This information applies to GPAcalculator and its educational tools.
Independent website
This site is not owned by or affiliated with a school, university, admissions service, examination body or scholarship organization. Institutional names, trademarks and referenced policies remain the property of their respective owners.
Estimates rather than certified records
The calculators show mathematical scenarios based on the values you enter. They cannot determine whether every course belongs in an official GPA, validate a transcript or certify an academic equivalence. Use your institution’s record for formal reporting.
Policy differences
Plus/minus grade points, A+ values, weighting bonuses, exclusions, repeat policies and rounding conventions can differ. A labeled example from one institution should not be applied automatically to another.
No guaranteed outcomes
A GPA estimate does not guarantee admission, a scholarship, graduation, academic standing or a future grade. The guides are general educational explanations, not individualized academic, legal or financial advice.
External content
We link to policy sources where useful but cannot control subsequent updates or third-party pages. Check the current primary source when a policy affects an important decision.
Report a problem
Use the contact page if a calculation or explanation appears incorrect. Share a non-sensitive example and the relevant policy so the issue can be reviewed. Do not submit private records or passwords.
